He ensures the road safety for everyone by inculcating good practices and always staying vigilant. Be prepared to learn a lot since the first lesson. Hemn is incredibly patient and guided me perfectly through everything possible obstacle I would need to overcome to pass my test (which I was able to do first try!), such as practicing around the testing site, breaking down each step, and more. He goes above and beyond to make sure you feel ready. I learned key techniques that I will be able to use for years to come, especially when it comes to handling tricky parking maneuvers. Our Policy

Hemn Driving School Ltd. operates in compliance with the Motor Vehicle Act, Division 27

1Fees: $85.00 per hour

Each driving lesson is a minimum of 1 hour. Each road test session is a minimum of 2 hours including a 60-minute warm-up. Each driving lesson includes a minimum of 55 minutes of practice time.

2Cancellations & notice

If you wish to cancel a driving lesson, we require 48 hours notice, otherwise a cancellation fee of $50.00 will be assessed.

To cancel a road test appointment booked by Hemn Driving School, we require 72 hours notice, as we must notify ICBC. Failure to give sufficient notice may result in the student paying a $25 road test cancellation fee to ICBC.

3Payment & refunds

Payment must be made no later than the end of each driving lesson or road test session. There will be no refund for driving lessons or road test sessions that have taken place.

If the student has pre-paid, there will be no refund given in cases of insufficient notice of cancellation (see section 2 above).

4Booking road tests

Road tests can be booked either by the student or by Hemn Driving School. The student must sign a consent and release form before Hemn Driving School may book a road test on their behalf.

Students must be in an active training program, taking driving lessons, within [xx] days of a road test booked by Hemn Driving School, or Hemn Driving School reserves the right to cancel any road test appointments it has made.
